1 Injured in Sacramento County Hit-and-Run Crash Near San Juan and Madison Avenues
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (July 14, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured at least one person near San Juan and Madison avenues in Sacramento County.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the wreck occurred on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the accident at about 1:38 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Sacramento County. They crashed on southbound San Juan Avenue, just south of Madison Avenue.
2 Vehicles Collide
The incident log described the cars as a gray Toyota Prius and a black 4-door sedan. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the city of Citrus Heights.
Medical personnel found one victim left wounded as a result of the collision. They treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that one of the drivers involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
Officers forced southbound San Juan near Madison to close following the wreck. The Sacramento County hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
