Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Sacramento County Crash at Highway 16 and Ione Road
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (June 13, 2021) – A crash seriously injured a motorcyclist at Highway 16 and Ione Road in Sacramento County.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident on Sunday afternoon. According to their dispatch team, officers reported the wreck at around 2:23 p.m.
CHP said a blue sedan and the motorcycle rider collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed at the intersection of Highway 16, known as Jackson Road, and Ione Road.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Sloughhouse and Rancho Murieta in Sacramento County. They found the motorcyclist hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Highway 16 and Ione Road to close following the crash. They did not mention if the driver of the car ended up hurt or if they stopped after the collision.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Sacramento County wreck.
