Vehicle Strikes, Kills Pedestrian on Interstate 80 Thursday
Sacramento, CA (May 6, 2021) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident on Interstate 80 Thursday evening, the CBS Sacramento News reported.
Authorities said a woman was seen walking in the eastbound side of I-80 Freeway. In the area near Madison Boulevard, a vehicle struck the female pedestrian. Our sources indicated two other passing motorists run over the woman lying down the road.

Shortly after 8:45 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the site and found the pedestrian unconscious. Paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to the victims but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, the driver involved in the horrible crash appeared unharmed after the incident.
Responding police officers shut down three lanes of the freeway to give way to the investigation. Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the deadly pedestrian accident on Interstate 80 in Sacramento.
