Stockton Man Killed in Crash Near Sacramento Saturday
Sacramento, CA (April 28, 2021) – At least one person died following a traffic accident on Highway 99 early Saturday, according to Sacramento Bee News.
Earlier reports indicated a 43-year-old Modesto man was riding a 2016 Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle. The man was heading south on the highway when he saw a saddle bag fall off his motorcycle and onto the far left lane. Subsequently, the rider stopped at the scene and parked his motorcycle in the center median.
Our sources indicated a passing vehicle struck the saddle bag before police arrived. The contents of the saddle bag then spilled onto the far left lane of the highway.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Sacramento, April 24
According to the article published online, the motorcycle rider attempted to retrieve the bag. However, a passing 2002 Toyota Corolla failed to see and struck the pedestrian.
The collision resulted in fatal injuries to the motorcyclist. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Authorities added a the initial crash led to a chain-link reaction accident. First responders found at the scene as many as four vehicles involved in the wreck.
Further investigation on the motorcycle accident on Highway 99 is underway.
