Woman Killed, Toddler Injured in Collision at Franklin Boulevard and 21st Avenue Monday
Sacramento, CA (June 28, 2021) – One person died, and a toddler suffered injuries following a car crash that occurred in the area of Franklin Boulevard and 21st Avenue.
On Monday, two vehicles collided at the Sacramento intersection. ABC10 published an article online indicating the catastrophic incident took place at approximately 5:10 p.m.

When emergency crews arrived at the crash site, they found a toddler trapped in one of the cars. Rescue teams extricated the toddler, and the female driver of that car. Paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to the woman but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene. Police continue to withhold the name of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Officials added the toddler sustained injuries from the collision. An ambulance transported the young patient to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the driver of the second vehicle appeared unharmed after the incident.
Detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the fatal car crash at Franklin Boulevard and 21st Avenue.
