Motorcycle Rider Killed in Sacramento Crash on Westbound Highway 50
SACRAMENTO, CA (May 12, 2021) – A motorcycle rider was killed after a crash on Highway 50 in Sacramento.
According to The Sacramento Bee and CBS Sacramento, the tragic accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 12:30 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said the motorcycle rider and two other vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Sacramento. They crashed on westbound Highway 50 near 59th Street.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and then confirmed that the motorcyclist died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased victim remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if any other party ended up hurt upon impact.
Officials forced the Nos 3 and 4 lanes of westbound Highway 50 to shut down for an hour and a half following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Sacramento motorcycle crash is still under investigation.
