Pedestrian Killed in Sacramento Crash Near Folsom Boulevard and 60th Street
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 13, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian near Folsom Boulevard and 60th Street in Sacramento.
According to the CBS Sacramento and ABC 10 News, the tragic accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 1:30 p.m.
The incident happened when at least four cars collided for an unknown reason in the city. They crashed near Folsom Boulevard between 59th Street and 60th Street.
Woman Hit by Car
Sacramento police said one of the vehicles involved struck a female pedestrian in the process. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found the woman who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed her to a hospital, where she died.
The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police did not mention if the drivers ended up hurt or if they stopped following the wreck.
Officers forced the area of Folsom Boulevard and 60th Street to shut down after the incident. The cause of the fatal Sacramento pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
