Man Killed in Sacramento Hit-and-Run Crash on Norwood Avenue
SACRAMENTO, CA (May 31, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run crash on Norwood Avenue in Sacramento.
According to an article published by the FOX 40 News, officers received a call about the tragic accident on Monday night.
Sacramento police said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit him on Norwood Avenue near the intersection with Jessie Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the site and found the man left lying in the roadway. He sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His name remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist involved did not stop to render aid to the man and then fled the area. Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
Officers forced a portion of Norwood Avenue to shut down following the hit-and-run crash. The fatal Sacramento collision is still under investigation.
