1 Injured in Sacramento Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 50 Near Stockton Boulevard
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 11, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 50 in Sacramento.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened on Saturday morning. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 10:40 a.m.
CHP determined that three vehicles collided in the city of Sacramento. They crashed for an unknown reason on westbound Highway 50, just east of Stockton Boulevard.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found two sedans with front-end damage and broken axle. One person ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided aid to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that one of the drivers involved fled the area. Officers forced the westbound lanes of Highway 50 to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Sacramento hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
