Teenager Hit and Injured by Vehicle at 47th Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Friday
Sacramento, CA (November 13, 2021) – A 15-year-old boy suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run collision that occurred in the area of 47th Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard.
On November 12, Friday, a vehicle struck the teenager at the Sacramento crossing. The CBS News reported the pedestrian entered a crosswalk to pass through the intersection of 47th Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian walked into the roadway against a red light. Around the same time, a vehicle approached the intersection with a green light. The driver apparently did not slow down for the pedestrian, and eventually struck the teenager.
Hit-and-Run Crash in Sacramento, November 12
According to the article published online, the motorist failed to stop after the collision. Police continue to look for the suspect, and the vehicle–a black Mercedes Benz ML300 SUV with a California license plate reading 6GYR199.
Meanwhile, our sources mentioned the 15-year-old boy sustained critical injuries as a result of the crash. Responding paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital for treatment.
