Pedestrian Hit and Injured by Vehicle on 80 Freeway at Madison Avenue Wednesday
Sacramento, CA (June 16, 2021) – A pedestrian suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run crash on Interstate 80, also known as Dwight Eisenhower Highway, early Wednesday.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a vehicle struck an individual in the westbound side of the freeway. The collision happened near Madison Avenue onramp in North Sacramento.

Emergency crews arrived at the location shortly after 1 a.m. First responders found the pedestrian abandoned at the scene. Paramedics rendered aid to the victim, and later confirmed they suffered injuries from the incident. The name of the injured party, and the extent of their trauma remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, the CHP log confirmed the driver involved in the wreck fled the scene before police arrived. Detectives continue to work at this time to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation on the pedestrian accident on Interstate 80 in Sacramento is underway.
