Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Sacramento Crash at Hedge and Fruitridge
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 11, 2022) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash at Hedge Avenue and Fruitridge Road in Sacramento.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the collision at about 5:47 p.m.
CHP said a black Dodge Ram struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Sacramento. The car hit the person at the intersection of Hedge Avenue and Fruitridge Road.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Sierra Enterprise Elementary. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of a major head injury. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the pickup truck stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. The cause of the Sacramento pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the area of Hedge and Fruitridge to shut down after the accident.
