Pedestrian Injured in Sacramento Hit-and-Run at 47th Street and 50th Avenue
SACRAMENTO, CA (February 7, 2022) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at 47th Street and 50th Avenue in Sacramento.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident late Sunday morning. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 11:25 a.m.
The incident happened on February 6 when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person at the intersection of 47th Street and 50th Avenue in Sacramento.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Nicholas Park. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and then fled the area. Officers forced the corner of 47th Street and 50th Avenue to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the Sacramento hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
