Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man Near Natividad Road
Salinas, CA (July 20, 2022) – A 27-year-old man died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Laurel Drive Tuesday evening.
According to KSBW News, a male party was seen walking along Laurel Drive near Natividad Road. For reasons still unclear, a passing minivan struck the pedestrian. The force from the impact left the victim laying down in the roadway. Earlier reports indicated the driver of a dark-colored sedan failed to notice the pedestrian, and ran over the body.
Pedestrian Dies in Salinas Accident on Laurel Drive
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the victim unconscious. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the pedestrian but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Authorities only identified the deceased as a 27-year-old male party.
The article published online mentioned the driver of the minivan stayed at the scene. However, the driver of the sedan fled and continued traveling north on Ramona Avenue.
Detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the deadly accident on Laurel Drive in Salinas.
