Pedestrian Killed in Salinas Crash on Alisal Street Near Skyway Boulevard
SALINAS, CA (August 8, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed after a crash on Alisal Street near Skyway Boulevard in Salinas.
According to an article published by the KSBW News, the tragic accident took place on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at around 2:45 p.m.
The incident happened on August 7 when a 31-year-old man was crossing East Alisal Street near Skyway Boulevard in the city.
Salinas police said for an unknown reason, a vehicle struck the male pedestrian. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found him down on the ground.

The victim ended up suffering from serious injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel soon pronounced him dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased man has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police added that the 34-year-old woman driving the car stopped and stayed at the site.
Officers forced a stretch of Alisal Street to shut down for a time following the incident. The cause of the fatal Salinas pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
