Motorcyclist Injured in Salinas Crash at San Juan Grade and Hebert Roads
SALINAS, CA (July 4, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash at San Juan Grade Road and Hebert Road near Salinas.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred late Sunday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:14 p.m.
CHP said a gold Chevrolet Suburban towing a boat and the rider of a Yamaha motorcycle collided for an unknown reason near Salinas.
Motorcycle and Car Collide Near Gabilan Acres
The two crashed at the intersection of San Juan Grade and Hebert roads. According to the incident log, the Chevrolet Suburban ended up with a broken right front upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Gabilan Acres community. They found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of San Juan Grade and Hebert roads to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Salinas crash.
