Sam Cirrincione, 70, Killed in Patterson Pedestrian Crash on Las Palmas Avenue
PATTERSON, CA (June 16, 2021) – A pedestrian accident killed Sam Cirrincione on Las Palmas Avenue in Patterson.
The coroner’s office identified the 70-year-old Patterson man as the victim of the fatal collision which occurred on Tuesday night.
The incident began when Sam Cirrincione was walking north across Las Palmas Avenue toward some taco trucks in Patterson. At the same time, a late ’90s model Chevrolet pickup was going west.
Elderly Man Hit by Car in Patterson
For an unknown reason, the truck then hit the elderly man. Deputies said the Chevrolet struck him in a construction zone near First Street.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found Sam Cirrincione lying on the ground as a result of the pedestrian crash. They soon pronounced him dead at the scene.
The Modesto Bee wrote that the accident took place on June 15 shortly after 9:30 p.m. Meanwhile, officers affirmed that the Patterson man driving the pickup stopped after hitting the pedestrian.
The driver stayed at the crash site and cooperated with the authorities. The cause of the tragic collision is still under investigation.
