Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Baseline Street
San Bernardino, CA (October 30, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 215 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol group.
Earlier reports indicated a vehicle hit an individual in the northbound side of the freeway near Baseline Street. After the crash, several other cars ran over the body lying in the roadway. The exact number of automobiles involved in the catastrophic incident have not been revealed thus far.
Pedestrian Killed in San Bernardino Accident on 215 Freeway
Shortly after 3:57 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site. First responders found the pedestrian suffering in serious injuries. Per CHP log, medical personnel performed life-saving measures to the victim. Sadly, the man succumbed to their injuries and passed away. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly accident that happened on 215 Freeway in San Bernardino.
