Man Hit and Killed by Vehicle Near University Parkway
San Bernardino, CA (September 18, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 215, also known as Cesar Chavez Highway.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a vehicle struck an individual in the northbound side of the freeway. Earlier reports indicated the horrible crash took place near University Parkway in San Bernardino.
CHP logged the case Sunday around 12:08 a.m.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 215 in San Bernardino
When emergency crews arrived at the site, they immediately rendered aid to the victim found lying on the ground. Despite life-saving measures performed by paramedics, the pedestrian sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear. Given that, detectives continue to investigate liability in the deadly pedestrian accident that happened on Interstate 215 in San Bernardino.
