1 Killed in San Bernardino Crash at 5th Street and Waterman Avenue
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (May 29, 2022) – A car crash killed at least one person at 5th Street and Waterman Avenue in San Bernardino.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place late Sunday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 10:28 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of San Bernardino. They crashed at the intersection of 5th Street and Waterman Avenue.
2 Vehicles Collide
The incident log described the cars as a white pickup truck and a black van. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Seccombe Lake Recreation Area.
Medical personnel confirmed that one victim died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of 5th Street and Waterman Avenue to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal San Bernardino crash is still under investigation.
