Pedestrian Killed in San Bernardino on North Arrowhead Avenue
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (June 9, 2021) – A pedestrian accident killed a man on North Arrowhead Avenue in San Bernardino.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department received a call about the incident on Tuesday night. Officials reported the crash on June 8 at about 8:39 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in San Bernardino. The driver hit him as he was crossing the 300-block of North Arrowhead Avenue.
Man, 60, Hit by Vehicle Tuesday
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the 60-year-old man lying on the ground as a result of the collision. They soon pronounced him dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, deputies did not mention if the motorist stopped after hitting the person.
Officers forced a portion of Arrowhead Avenue to shut down following the accident. The cause of the fatal San Bernardino pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
