1 Injured in San Bernardino Hit-and-Run Crash at Sterling and Lynwood
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (October 6, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Sterling Avenue and Lynwood Drive in San Bernardino.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident happened on Wednesday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:18 p.m.
According to CHP, a black Honda and a white colored vehicle collided in San Bernardino. The two crashed for an unknown reason on northbound Sterling Avenue at the intersection with East Lynwood Drive.
2 Vehicles Collide
One car clipped a power pole nearby while the other came to a rest in a field. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Sterling Park.
Medical personnel found one person hurt as a result of the collision. They provided treatment to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP added that the one of the drivers involved did not stop to help and fled the area.
Officers forced the intersection of Sterling Avenue and Lynwood Drive to shut down following the incident. The San Bernardino hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
