SAN BERNARDINO, California (May 9, 2014) – A motorcyclist was badly hurt Friday morning after crashing into a pickup truck that allegedly cut in front of the black 1998 Harley Davidson on the State Route 138 at the I-15 Freeway, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
About 7:08 a.m., CHP officers responded to the collision between a motorcycle rider and a Dodge Ram pickup truck and found the person who was riding the bike in the middle of the road.
“The rider looks hurt (they are) laying down blocking the southbound 15 on ramp,” the CHP report said.
The report said the “pickup truck cut off” the motorcyclist and “caused the traffic accident.”
Paramedics were called to the scene of the crash to treat the injured rider and transported the injured person by helicopter to Loma Linda University Medical Center. Desert Valley Tow took the bike from the scene with a flatbed.
Police will continue to investigate this motorcycle accident to confirm liability.
“The motorcyclist hurt in this crash will likely have a claim against this driver for compensation for his or her losses in this accident,” said Attorney James Johnson. “Hopefully the rider has a full recovery and is able to get back to their life again.”
