San Diego, CA (August 21, 2022) – A 9-year-old boy suffered serious injuries following a traffic collision that occurred on Webster Avenue.

The ABC10 and FOX5 News reported the child was riding a bicycle in an alley in the 200 block of Pardee Street. The boy approached the intersection at Webster Avenue and exited the vehicle. According to the article published online, a car heading east on Webster Avenue struck the cyclist.

Officials said the collision took place Sunday around 3:09 p.m.

When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the 2021 Nissan Sentra with damage at the front passenger-side bumper.

The article published online confirmed the force from the impact resulted in major injuries to the boy. An ambulance rushed the patient to the hospital for treatment of multiple trauma including–a maxilla fracture, a nose fracture, and a concussion.

Detectives stayed at the scene the whole afternoon. They continue to investigate the precise cause of the crash that happened on Webster Avenue in San Diego.
