Several Hospitalized After Fiery Crash on 8 Freeway Tuesday
San Diego, CA (June 2, 2021) – Multiple people suffered injuries following a car accident on Interstate 8 Freeway in the College Area early Tuesday morning.
The ABC10 News reported two vehicles collided on the westbound lanes of the freeway near College Avenue. At the moment, the make and model of the cars involved in the wreck remained unknown. Officials said the force form the impact caused at least one vehicle to catch fire.
Rescue teams arrived at the crash site shortly after 12:30 a.m. According to the article published online, Good Samaritans managed to pull out a driver before the car burst into flames. Paramedics rendered aid to the driver, and all other parties injured in the collision.

Authorities later confirmed multiple people were taken to area hospitals after the incident. However, the names of the patients and the extent of their injuries have not been revealed thus far.
At this time, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led to the car accident on Interstate 8 in the College Area.
