1 Seriously Injured in San Diego Crash on Interstate 5 Near La Jolla Parkway
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 29, 2021) – A car crash seriously injured at least one person on the Interstate 5 near La Jolla Parkway in San Diego.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident early Wednesday. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 12:16 a.m.
CHP said at least two cars collided for an unknown reason in San Diego. The two sedans crashed on the Interstate 5 near La Jolla Parkway.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near State Route 52. They found one person who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. The name of the patient and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of the Interstate 5 to shut down near La Jolla following the wreck. The cause of the San Diego crash is still under investigation.
