Pedestrian Killed in San Diego County Crash on South Santa Fe Avenue
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA (June 6, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after an accident on Santa Fe Avenue in San Diego County.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the tragic incident late Saturday night. Officers reported the crash on June 5 at about 10:49 p.m.
According to their dispatch team, a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in San Diego County. The driver involved hit the person at 2640 South Santa Fe Avenue.
Victim Hit by Vehicle Near Vista and San Marcos
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the areas of Vista and San Marcos. They confirmed that the victim died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the crash site after hitting the person.
Officials forced a portion of Santa Fe Avenue to shut down for several hours following the collision. The cause of the fatal San Diego County pedestrian accident is still under investigation.
