Vehicle Strikes, Kills Woman Near Presidio Park Bridge
San Diego, CA (September 22, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred Thursday morning on the Interstate 8 Freeway, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
Our sources indicated a silver Subaru sedan struck a female party in the eastbound side of the freeway near Old Town. For reasons still unclear, the woman was walking along the interstate near the Presidio Park bridge.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 8 in San Diego
Shortly after 12:30 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the victim found suffering in serious injuries. According to the article published online, the victim sadly died before she was taken to a hospital. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old man driving the Subaru appeared unharmed after the incident.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole morning. They continue to investigate liability in the deadly pedestrian accident that happened on Interstate 8 in San Diego.
