Man Hit and Killed by Semi Truck on Highway 15 Saturday
San Diego, CA (September 18, 2021) – A pedestrian suffered fatal injuries following a traffic accident that occurred early Saturday on State Route Highway 15.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a big rig struck an individual in the northbound side of the freeway. The horrible crash took place near University Avenue in San Diego.
Emergency crews arrived at the location shortly after 12:40 a.m. First responders found the semi truck overturned on its side.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident in San Diego, September 18
Medical personnel at the scene immediately rendered aid to the person found lying on the ground. Paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to the victim, but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver of the semi truck.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the deadly pedestrian accident on State Route 15 in San Diego.
