Woman Killed in Collision Near Highway 52 Onramp

San Diego, CA (October 3, 2022) – One person died following a car accident that occurred on Regents Road in the North Clairemont neighborhood.

The FOX5 News reported a 45-year-old man was behind the wheel of a Toyota Camry heading east on Highway 52. When the Camry exited on Regents Road, the driver allowed the car to drive over a highway divider.

According to the article published online, the Camry ended up crashing into a Hyundai Elantra driven by a female party. Our sources mentioned the woman sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the wreck. Responding paramedics attended to the victim but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and passed away. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.

Authorities added the driver of the Camry received treatment at a local hospital. Personal information on the patient have not been revealed thus far.

At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the horrible crash that happened on Regents Road.
