San Diego: Hit-and-Run Crash on Interstate 805 Near Imperial Avenue2-Vehicle Collision Near Imperial Avenue Onramp Friday

San Diego, CA (February 12, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred on Interstate 805, also know as Jacob Dekema Freeway.

The California Highway Patrol group reported two vehicles collided on the northbound lanes of the freeway in San Diego. Preliminary investigation revealed the accident involving a Honda Civic. Meanwhile, the make and model of the other car remained undisclosed.

CHP logged the case on February 11, Friday, at about 4:38 p.m.

When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the Honda rolled onto the right-hand shoulder of I-805. Officials said an occupant from the Honda was ejected onto the roadway due to the force from the impact. Responding paramedics immediately attended to the victim lying on the ground. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed the patient required further treatment for minor injuries sustained in the collision.

Investigators continue to work at this time to identify the motorist who fled the scene after the crash. Detectives continue to gather information to locate the hit-and-run suspect in the car crash on Interstate 805 in San Diego.
