Rider Hospitalized After Collision in Valencia Park
San Diego, CA (April 16, 2022) – A 38-year-old motorcyclist suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred in the area of Imperial Avenue and San Jacinto Drive.
The ABC10 News reported a man was riding a motorbike traveling in the Valencia Park neighborhood. When the motorcyclist drove through the intersection at San Jacinto Drive, he sideswiped a 2016 Cadillac. Preliminary investigation revealed the Cadillac was making a left turn onto San Jacinto when the accident happened.
According to the article published online, the collision took place near the 5200 block of Imperial Avenue Friday evening.
Major Motorcycle Accident at Imperial Avenue and San Jacinto Drive
Emergency crews responded to the location shortly after 8:45 p.m. When medical personnel arrived, they found the rider ejected from the motorcycle. The victim sustained serious injuries including a fractured right femur. An ambulance transported the patient to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the conditions of the occupants in the Cadillac after the incident.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the crash happened at Imperial Avenue and San Jacinto Drive.
