Pedestrian Injured in San Diego Hit-and-Run at Ocean View Boulevard and 36th Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 7, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian at Ocean View Boulevard and 36th Street in San Diego.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place last week on Friday night. Officers reported the collision shortly before 9 p.m.
The incident happened on February 4 when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in San Diego. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Ocean View Boulevard and South 36th Street.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the 15 Freeway. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and then fled the area. The cause of the San Diego hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the corner of Ocean View Boulevard and 36th Street to shut down following the collision.
