Pedestrian Injured San Diego Hit-and-Run on Siempre Viva Road
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 7, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Siempre Viva Road in San Diego.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident late Wednesday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident on May 5 at about 11:24 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person at 8701 Siempre Viva Road in San Diego.
Victim Hit by Vehicle Near State Route 905
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene near the State Route 905. They soon found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the crash. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid and fled toward SR-905. Officers forced the roadway to close for a time following the accident.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect. The cause of the San Diego hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
