San Francisco Car Crash at Market and 8th Streets

5 Injured in San Francisco Crash at Market and 8th Streets

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 31, 2021) – Several were injured after a car crash at Market and 8th streets in San Francisco.

According to the CBS San Francisco and SF Gate, the accident occurred on Wednesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 11 a.m.

Multiple vehicles, including an on-duty San Francisco Police Department motorcycle officer, collided for an unknown reason. They crashed at the intersection of Market and 8th streets.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found a total of five people, including the officer, who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel took the patients to the hospital for treatment. The police office sustained non-life-threatening injuries upon impact.

Officials did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile,  officers closed the intersection of Market and 8th streets following the crash.

Authorities are still determining the cause of the collision.
