At Least 1 Hurt in Collision Near Treasure Island Road Friday
San Francisco, CA (February 12, 2022) – A suspected hit-and-run car crash occurred on Interstate 80, also known as Bay Bridge, on February 11.
The California Highway Patrol group reported two vehicles collided in the westbound side of the freeway in San Francisco. Initial records indicated the accident involved a gray Toyota Prius and a white Honda car.
Shortly after 3:48 p.m., emergency crews arrived in the area near Treasure Island Road onramp. Responding paramedics rendered aid to all parties found at the scene. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. The name and age of the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
The CHP log mentioned one motorist fled the scene before police arrived. At this time, detectives continue to gather information to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation is ongoing on the car crash on Interstate 80 in San Francisco.
