Pedestrian Severely Injured in San Francisco Crash Near Van Ness and McAllister
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (August 12, 2022) – A crash severely injured a pedestrian near Van Ness Avenue and McAllister Street in San Francisco.
According to the KTVU News and NBC Bay Area, the accident took place on Friday night. Officers reported the collision at around 8:12 p.m.
San Francisco police said a car struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in the city. The vehicle hit him near the intersection of Van Ness Avenue and McAllister Street.
Man Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the man hurt. He sustained life-threatening injuries injuries as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel rushed the victim to a hospital for treatment. His name and condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, police added that the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man. Officers forced the area of Van Ness and McAllister to shut down following the collision.
