Pedestrian Injured in San Francisco Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 101 at Cesar Chavez
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (June 16, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian on Highway 101 at Cesar Chavez Street in San Francisco.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred on Wednesday morning. Officers reported the incident at about 5:13 a.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the victim on the Cesar Chavez Street on-ramp to northbound Highway 101 in San Francisco.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found the person left lying on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that that the motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the area. They forced the on-ramp to northbound Highway 101 to close following the hit-and-run crash.
Authorities described the car involved as a dark colored Dodge Charger or a Dodge Camaro. The San Francisco hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
