At Least 1 Killed in Collision Near Middle River Bridge
San Joaquin County, CA (July 2, 2022) – One person died following a traffic crash that occurred on State Route Highway 4, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Officials said a collision between a big rig and a silver sedan took place on the highway near the bridge passing over Middle River. Preliminary investigation revealed the sedan slammed into the back of a big rig carrying 8100 gallons of ethanol.
CHP logged the incident around 3:30 a.m.
Fatal Car and Truck Crash on State Route 4 in San Joaquin County
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the sedan with significant damage. Medical personnel rendered aid to all parties involved in the wreck. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed one person sadly died as a result of the collision. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole morning. They continue to investigate exactly how and why the violent crash happened on State Route 4 in San Joaquin County.
