Cyclist Killed in Collision Near Interstate 880 Ramp Monday
San Jose, CA (November 29, 2021) – A bicycle rider died following a traffic accident that occurred on Bascom Avenue Monday, the Mercury News reported.
Our sources indicated a vehicle struck the bicyclist near the Interstate 880 ramp at the the San Jose-Santa Clara border. The make and model of the automobile involved in the collision have not been revealed thus far.
Deadly Bicycle Accident on Bascom Avenue in San Jose, November 29
Shortly after 10:18 a.m., emergency teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics immediately attended to the bicycle rider. Sadly, the man succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. Police continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned the driver involved in the unfortunate event stopped after the collision. The motorist stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the deadly bicycle accident on Bascom Avenue in San Jose.
