Passenger Killed in Collision at White Road and Castleton Drive Sunday
San Jose, CA (February 13, 2022) – One person died following a suspected DUI car crash that occurred in the area of South White Road and Castleton Drive.
According to an article published online by CBS News, a 2000 Toyota sedan drifted off the roadway and slammed into a tree. The catastrophic incident took place near the intersection of South White Road and Castleton Drive.
Officials said the horrible crash took place Sunday at about 11:46 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the driver and passenger both with injuries. Due to the serious condition of the victims, paramedics rushed them to a local hospital. Our sources indicated the male passenger sadly died shortly after arriving at the trauma center. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation.
Meanwhile, investigators later learned the woman driving the Toyota was drunk at the time of the accident. Police then arrested the woman and booked her into Santa Clara County jail for vehicular manslaughter; and felony driving under the influence charges.
Further investigation is ongoing on the deadly crash at White Road and Castleton Drive.
