Man Pinned Between Vehicles on Lennon Way
San Jose, CA (May 5, 2022) – One person died following a traffic accident that occurred on Lennon Way Thursday, according to NBC News.
Earlier reports indicated a man was driving the work truck pulled along the 1200 block of Lennon Way. Preliminary investigation revealed the truck stopped in the area of to unload supplies to a house that is under construction.
Officials said the truck started reversing. While in the process, the truck apparently hit a car stopped behind it. For reasons still unknown, the truck driver continued reversing into the driveway. Per local news source, the truck ended up hitting an individual. Authorities said the collision pinned the pedestrian between the back of the truck and a parked car.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident in San Jose
Shortly after 8 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the site. Paramedics rushed the victim to local hospital, where he sadly passed away. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police mentioned the truck operator stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives continue to work to determine the precise cause of the catastrophic incident Lennon Way in San Jose.
