At Least 1 Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision Near Saratoga Avenue Offramp Thursday
San Jose, CA (March 10, 2022) – A deadly car accident occurred late Thursday on Interstate 280, also known as Junipero Serra Freeway.
The California Highway Patrol group reported multiple vehicles collided on the freeway near Saratoga Avenue offramp. CHP logged the incident around 11:17 p.m.
According to the dispatch, the wreck involved a black Toyota Prius, a Hyundai sedan; and possibly six other automobiles of unknown make and model.

Emergency crews arrived at the crash site shortly after 11:17 p.m. Responding paramedics rendered aid to all victims in the collision. After evaluating the conditions of all parties found at the scene, officers sadly confirmed at least one person died from injuries sustained in the accident. The name of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly crash on Interstate 280 in San Jose.
