Rider Killed in Collision in Willow Glen Neighborhood
San Jose, CA (July 29, 2022) – A motorcyclist died following a traffic crash that occurred in the area of Curtner Avenue and Briarwood Drive.
According to CBS and Mercury News, a man riding a motorcycle collided with a 2009 Toyota sedan at the intersection in the Willow Glen neighborhood. Earlier reports indicated the sedan was making a left turn from northbound Briarwood Drive onto westbound Curtner Avenue; while the motorcyclist was heading eastbound on Curtner Avenue. The two motorists drove through the intersection at the same time and crashed into each other.
Emergency crews responded to the accident scene shortly after 8 a.m.

The article published online mentioned paramedics rushed the injured rider to the hospital. Sadly, the patient eventually succumbed to his injuries and died. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota reportedly stayed at the site and cooperated with the investigation process. Detectives handling the case continue to investigate the precise cause of the catastrophic incident that happened at Curtner Avenue and Briarwood Drive.
