1 Injured in San Jose Hit-and-Run Crash on Interstate 680 at Jackson Avenue
SAN JOSE, CA (January 3, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash injured at least one person on the Interstate 680 and Jackson Avenue in San Jose.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident last week on Thursday evening. Officers reported the wreck at around 5:26 p.m.
The incident happened on December 30 when a blue Hyundai Sonata and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed on the northbound Interstate 680 at the Jackson Avenue off-ramp in San Jose.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found an occupant of the Hyundai who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided aid to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. The name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver did not stop to help and fled the area. Officers forced the northbound Interstate 680 at Jackson to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the San Jose hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
