1 Injured in San Jose Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 101 at Metcalf Road
SAN JOSE, CA (January 2, 2022) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 101 and Metcalf Road in San Jose.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck took place on Thursday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 4:22 p.m.
The incident on December 30 involved multiple vehicles, including a semi-truck, in the city of San Jose. They crashed on southbound Highway 101 at Metcalf Road.
CHP described the other cars as a 2007 blue Chevrolet Silverado and two sedans. The Chevrolet obtained moderate rear-end damage upon impact.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP determined that the incident happened when the driver of a car swerved across the highway and slammed into the big rig and another vehicle. The suspect did not stop and sped away.
Officers forced the southbound Highway 101 at Metcalf to shut down following the wreck. The San Jose hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
