Woman Hospitalized After Hit-and-Run Collision
San Jose, CA (October 23, 2022) – A pedestrian suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred in the area of Blossom Hill Road and Snell Avenue.
The NBC and Mercury News reported a female party attempted to cross the intersection in San Jose outside of the crosswalk. While in the middle of the roadway, a vehicle struck the woman. The collision took place Friday at about 7:15 p.m.
Major Injury Pedestrian Accident in San Jose
When rescue teams arrived at the site, they found the pedestrian suffering in serious injuries. Medical personnel rendered first aid to the victim; then transported her to a hospital, where she was listed in critical condition. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the patient pending confirmation.
Meanwhile, officials confirmed the motorist involved in the crash fled the scene. Detectives handling the case continue to gather information to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
Further investigation is ongoing on the accident that happened at Blossom Hill Road and Snell Avenue.
