Minor-Injury Crash on I-880 Freeway in San Leandro
SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (July 7, 2022) — A San Leandro car accident happened Thursday afternoon on the southbound Interstate 880 Freeway, just before the Interstate 238 Freeway transition.
The collision occurred about 2:58 p.m. on July 7th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported two vehicles were blocking the No. 1 lane of the I-880. One of the vehicles described as a tan GMC SUV overturned, but landed back on its wheels. The vehicle had significant rollover damage from the crash.
Meanwhile, the second motorist in a green Kia Optima sedan had major front-end damage from the collision.
Paramedics responded due to minor injuries reported at the scene of the San Leandro crash.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash.
