Multi-Vehicle Crash on the I-880 Freeway
SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (June 14, 2022) — A 3-vehicle San Leandro crash on the Interstate 880 Freeway happened Tuesday near Marina Boulevard.
The crash occurred about 12:25 p.m. on June 14th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a gray GMC sedan reportedly overturned in the fast lane in a collision with a gray two-door vehicle and a white Toyota. The gray car reportedly had moderate front-end damage and blocked the slow lane and the Toyota was on the right shoulder in the embankment.
Authorities are investigating whether the white Toyota was first to crash when it suffered a flat tire and crashed into the center divider. The other vehicles crashed in a chain-reaction, police said.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded to help those with minor injuries.
Investigators will determine fault for the San Leandro crash on the I-880.
