Rider Hospitalized After Collision Near Davis Street Offramp
San Leandro, CA (March 19, 2023) – A motorcyclist suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 880 Freeway, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Auto vs. Motorcycle Crash in San Leandro
On March 16, Thursday, a man riding a motorcycle collided with another vehicle in the southbound side of I-880 near Davis Street offramp. Official later described the other car involved in the wreck as a black pickup truck.
Shortly after 1:46 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics checked the condition of the motorcyclist, and all the occupants in the pickup truck. After the evaluation, medical personnel decided to transfer the injured rider to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation. The identity of the patient remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives assigned to handle the case stayed at the scene the whole afternoon. They continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the crash happened on Interstate 880 in San Leandro.
